Posted on November 01, 2014
For those of us who work in an office, there can be times when sitting at a desk all day is actually not as peaceful as you might think. For the majority of us, we go to work, sit at our desks, complete our daily tasks and converse with our colleagues. Unfortunately, sometimes, some of our fellow employees/employers have other ideas. We have picked out the top 10 unspoken rules for working in an office, please read on to see if you agree! Don’t do any of the following: Leave all your dirty dishes in the sink – it’s not a pleasant sight, and who else are you expecting to clean up after you? Just a quick scrub won’t consume too much of your day; it will also benefit the general hygiene of the office kitchen! Not quite Superman, Spider-man or Batman, but a recent Facebook post from popular publishing page ‘The Lad Bible’, has given the world an everyday superhero that may actually be a bit more of a realistic aspiration for 5 year olds! ‘Barrier Man’ gained almost 100,000 likes, over 3,800 shares and 2,500 comments on Facebook when a picture of a worker was posted with the caption ‘The Superhero we’ve all been waiting for’. Of course we shouldn’t take away from the seriousness of Barrier Man’s job and the fact that guys like him are actually providing a service to the public – much like the superhero’s we read about in comics! (Although potentially less life risking). Look closely at the picture below and you can tell that there is work being carried out next to a particularly busy area, possibly in front of a University or office block, and that the man is ensuring the barrier is correctly in place to protect pedestrians from a potentially dangerous work area, as a well as a busy road. Let’s...

As well as using mirrors for practical and safety reasons, for example in shops as security to help deter shop lifters and on roads to help drivers check their blind spots, there are a variety of fun things you can do with just a humble mirror. 1. You can summon up evil spirits. There is a well-known children’s "game" of summoning the evil spirit of a woman called Mary by staring into the bathroom mirror and chanting “Bloody Mary” three times over. The folklore behind this game is supposed to come from Mary I, Queen of England who was given the nickname of Bloody Mary due to her persecution of Protestants during her reign. Ok, so, it isn’t as if we believe in ghost stories, but maybe think twice before summoning any evil entities. 2. With a mirror, you will be able to make yourself a new friend. Not just any friend, but a friend who agrees with your style, your image and all your opinions and someone who will be there for you wherever you go. They will never disagree with you and you...

Of course, not everyone has time to pull off the ultimate prank but if you want a simple and quick prank to pull on someone, you've come to the right place. Keyboard key change This is an old one, but still very funny. For those keen typers that love to keep on typing, this is a great one. Switch around the ones you think would work best and let the victim do the work! Eternal hold If you feel like being annoying then putting a co worker on hold is the prank for you. This prank will work better in a big workplace where your victim cannot see you. Simply call a colleague and talk to them about something important. Then tell them to hold for a minute, press the hold button and see how long they hold the phone for. For best results, keep repeating this in the space on a few minutes. The tape and mouse This is simple, quick and an easy prank to carry out. Just simple...
