Slimline Column Protector
What is the purpose of a Slimline Column Protector?
The purpose of a slimline column protector is to maintain high safety standards in warehouses and structures with columns or pillars. The slimline column guard is perfect for smaller spaces with slimmer column sizes. The column protector works in a way which wraps around the column providing protection if a moving vehicle or object operating in the area happens to make contact with it. A slimline column guard works to reduce the damaged caused to vehicles, trucks, trolleys or forklift trucks if they impact with the columns in a warehouse. As well as this, they work towards protecting the columns themselves from damage or structural issues once a collision has occurred. If a vehicle collides with a column which has a pillar protector in place then the air pressure release cushion helps to reduce the risk of injury that the driver might experience. The bright yellow colour of the product makes it a useful tool for highlight the position of pillars in different locations and therefore avoiding any accidents in the first instance.
Where can a Slimline Column Protector be used?
A slimline column protector can be used in a number of different situations and locations where there are pillars and columns in place. Any structure that has pillars needs specific protection to avoid damage being caused to the building work. The most common place that a column guard is used is in a warehouse where steel or brick columns are present. In a warehouse situation there are numerous mobile objects such as forklift trucks, trolleys and even lorries in larger warehouses and so there is added need for column protection. There are also pillars present in certain car parks, especially multi-story car parks. Car parks have a large volume of cars passing through them on a daily basis so it is recommended that the columns found in car parks are made safe for drivers and their vehicles by installing a column protector. Smaller locations or locations with smaller pillars in place are ideal for the slimline column protector. Due to its smaller size, it can provide protection in even the tightest of spots.
The slimline column protector is a smaller sized column protector ideal for smaller spaces. It is made from high visibility yellow plastic and can be shaped around columns and pillars. The product comes with no fixings as it does not require any to be installed. It is easily assembled and fits over the base plate. The product weighs 14 kilograms. The dimensions of this product are as follows: 1100mm high x 390mm wide x 435mm deep. There are two different types of this product available to fit different size columns. The first one fits columns that measure 100mm x 100mm, and the second is 150mm x 150mm, fitting a larger column.
