Will the pack cover my whole garage floor?

The pack’s 91 tiles cover approx. 3.3m × 6.1m, sized for a single garage. If your floor is smaller, cut the tiles to fit at the walls. If it’s larger or a different shape, add single dotted floor tiles to the same order.

Do I need to glue the tiles down?

Not on most floors: the tiles lay loose on any hard surface and lock together with the jigsaw join. The vinyl is flexible and expands and contracts with temperature, so glue them where they get direct sunlight or where heavy pallet trucks and forklifts turn tightly. Leave an expansion gap at walls and fixed points.

What are the black edges for, and can I buy more?

The 7 black edges finish the open sides of the floor, such as the garage door opening, giving a neat line where the tiles meet the bare floor. The corner is built into the edge design, so there’s no separate corner piece. Extra edges, male or female in black or yellow, are sold as interlocking floor tile edges.

Can I drive and park a car on the tiles?

Yes. The tiles are load tested to 3.35 tonnes per tyre and suit forklifts, pallet trucks, stillages and heavy loads, so parking a car and driving in and out of the garage are well within what they’re built for. Glue the tiles where heavy trucks turn tightly, and check your own use with a risk assessment.

Are the tiles slippery when wet or oily?

The raised dotted surface is slip-resistant, tested to ASTM E303, and the vinyl resists oils, but wipe up spills promptly. For areas that are often wet or oily, include the floor in your risk assessment and follow HSE guidance on slips and trips.

Can I use the floor for a garage gym?

Yes, for protecting the floor and adding grip under treadmills, bikes, racks and benches. The 12mm vinyl cushions standing and lays loose, so the tiles can be lifted and relaid if you move. They aren’t made for heavy weights dropped onto them, so use a dedicated lifting platform where weights are dropped.

Why do some tiles look a slightly different colour?

Colour can vary slightly between batches of the UK-made recycled vinyl PVC tiles. It doesn’t affect how the tiles perform. Order all the tiles for one floor in a single go to keep the colour as even as possible.
